IT students partake in Microsoft event

STUDENTS from IT Sligo are to represent Ireland at the global finals of Microsoft’s Imagine Cup 2011 in New York this summer.

The students’ road safety project HERMES is an in-car road system that uploads data to the cloud via mobile phone, thus acting as an early warning system on erratic driving behaviour.
