Boost for Shannon Airport as tenders sought for cargo facility

SHANNON Airport received a major boost yesterday with the news that the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) is seeking tenders from third parties to establish a cargo facility at the airport.

The DAA is seeking tenders for a third party to operate a 10,000sq metres cargo facility and the successful candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project, including securing planning permission.

The third party will also manage and operate the facility during the expected 33-year lease.
