SuperValu to sell 100,000 turkeys

Cork: SuperValu estimates it will sell approximately 100,000 Irish turkeys worth €4 million this Christmas.

Two Irish producers will supply the turkeys to SuperValu’s 194 stores throughout Ireland; Monaghan-based Grove Turkeys Ltd and IGWT Poultry Services Ltd.

Managing director of Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland Martin Kelleher said: “SuperValu has a long-established policy of investing in local Irish produce whenever possible, thus providing the Irish consumer with top quality Irish produce at good value prices.
