Profits fall by a third at Lowry company

GARUDA, the refrigeration company owned by former Fine Gael minister Michael Lowry, saw pre-tax profits fall by a third to €354,046 last year.

The company is very much a family affair, with Mr Lowry and his brother Patrick listed as directors of the firm.

According to accounts just filed directors remuneration increased from €341,727 to €409,657 last year.
