Quinn to remain in administration for years to come

QUINN Insurance is expected to remain in either full or partial administration for several years to come.

Paul McCann and Michael McAteer of chartered accountants Grant Thornton were appointed provisional administrators to the general insurance division of the wider Quinn Group last Tuesday after a special sitting of the High Court.

The move followed an application made to the court by the Financial Regulator, over concerns about how the business was being run and the true nature of its financial strengths.
