A RENEWABLE energy concept that has the capacity to significantly reduce electricity costs and carbon emissions for some of Ireland’s largest energy users will be unveiled in Ballydesmond, on the Cork-Kerry border, tomorrow.

Irish-owned and Limerick-based company Wind Energy Direct (WED) will officially launch its first “Behind the Meter” project at the site of one of north Cork’s largest employers, energy-saving window and door manufacturer Munster Joinery.

It is the first commercial project of its size in Ireland.
