€4.4m funding for programming

THE Broadcasting Commission of Ireland announced funding of just over €4.4m for television programming in the most recent funding round of Sound and Vision, the Broadcasting Funding Scheme.

It said 112 eligible applications were received from the sector, requesting a total of €20.4m.

Grants totalling €4,426,800 have been awarded to 27 projects which deal with the themes of Irish culture, heritage and experience. The amount provided is an increase of €361,000 on the last television funding round.
