Revenue warns of bogus emails
It said the email asks the recipient to submit personal details including date of birth and debit/credit card details.
Revenue, however, said it did not issue the email, adding that it would never send emails which require customers to send personal information via email or pop-up windows.
It said anyone who receives an email purporting to be from Revenue and suspects it to be fraudulent or a scam is asked to forward it to webmaster@revenue.ie.
