THE Revenue Commissioners has warned of the existence of an email seeking personal information from taxpayers in connection with a tax refund.

It said the email asks the recipient to submit personal details including date of birth and debit/credit card details.

Revenue, however, said it did not issue the email, adding that it would never send emails which require customers to send personal information via email or pop-up windows.
