Automattic takes over PollDaddy

WEB-BASED polling and survey company PollDaddy has been acquired by Automattic, the company behind Wordpress software and the Wordpress.com blog service, for an undisclosed sum.

Sligo-based PollDaddy offers free polls to clients.

The option to run more detailed surveys costs either $200 (€150) or $899 (€670) a year, depending on the volume of replies.

The company’s client list includes RTÉ, Fox News, Wired Magazine and PC World.
