Pig farmers’ conference held as industry moves from crisis to profit

THE pig industry worldwide is emerging into profit after the most serious crisis in the sector for several decades.

Against this more positive background, the Teagasc national pig farmers’ conference will be held next week at three locations.

Andrew Knowles, British pig executive, will present the outlook for the global pig meat and feed markets at the conference, which takes place at Teagasc Moorepark (Monday), Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny (Tuesday) and Crystal Hotel, Cavan (Wednesday).
