Lansdowne gets exploration license

LANSDOWNE OIL & GAS has been awarded an exploration license covering an area of 449sq km in the North Celtic Sea basin, off the south coast of Ireland.

The license blocks are about 30km from land in water about 100m deep, the London-based company said yesterday.
