IKEA set to launch recruitment drive
When complete, the store will directly employ more than 500 people with a further 100 jobs being created in outsourced services.
The company said local employment partnerships with Ballymun Regeneration Ltd and Ballymun Partnership will be put in place to ensure that co-workers can be drawn as much as possible from areas adjacent to the store’s location throughout the campaign.
In June last year, IKEA was granted planning permission by An Bord Pleanála to build a 30,000 sq m store on 12.7 hectare site in the Ballymun regeneration zone.
