‘Recall will not disrupt supplies’
Stryker announced the recall on Tuesday owing to an issue with the manufacturing residue on the Trident hip cups made in the company’s Cork plant.
The plant has already resumed shipments, suggesting the problem has been resolved there, and both the Cork facility and another plant in Mahwah, New Jersey, have ramped up production, Stryker said.
Asked about the matter on Wednesday, Mr MacMillan said the situation is being resolved and that he thinks about the timing “in terms of weeks, not months”.
