PHARMACEUTICAL firm, Merck Sharp & Dohme is linking with the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering & Technology to promote advanced research at University College Cork and University College Dublin.

Embark Initiative promotes research

Under IRCSET’s Enterprise Partnership Scheme, Merck Sharp & Dohme will co-fund work by Linda Murphy at UCC and Cillin Mac Donnchadha at UCD — both are postgraduate researchers undertaking PhD studies.

The two will become Embark Merck Sharp & Dohme Research Scholars in Chemistry, working with research teams.
