Milk quota trade strongest to date

MILK quota trade on the third exchange scheme was the strongest to date, Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Minister Mary Coughlan has announced.

She said she was delighted that the third scheme has continued the trend established by the first two.

Sixty per cent and 70%, respectively of quota offered for sale on the first two exchanges was sold. The volume traded on the third exceeded 80%.
