CPA sees record membership growth

THE Institute of Certified Public Accountants reported record growth numbers as 253 graduates were conferred with membership at the institute at the institute’s annual conferral ceremony in Dublin.

From 2001 to 2006, membership has increased 41%, representing the largest growth rate of any accountancy body in Ireland and Britain, according to the institute.

The 253 CPA graduates conferred represent an 8% increase on last year’s numbers.

The institute has recently purchased a headquarters in Dublin to cater for its growth, and also retains an office in Belfast.
