Bord na Móna appoints director

BORD na Móna has appointed Kerry Group executive Gabriel D’Arcy as managing director.

Mr D’Arcy, 48, who is commercial director of Kerry Ingredients Europe, succeeds John Hourican.

Prior to joining Kerry Group, Mr D’Arcy spent 12 years as an army officer in the Defence Forces, retiring as a Captain. During his service, he had two tours of duty with United Nations forces in Lebanon.

“I am confident he will successfully lead the company and help it to deliver on its growth and development strategy in the months and years to come,” said Bord na Móna chairman Fergus McArdle.
