Resource buys Pall Mall in €28.5m deal

IRISH services firm Resource has bought British-based Pall Mall for €28.5 million, in a move that will see it increase its annual revenues to €215m.

Pall Mall, is the cleaning and security services division of London-listed company Carillion and has bases in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Newport, Gwent.

Resource provides services such as cleaning, security and car parking management to companies.

Resource chief executive Terence Brannigan said: “The acquisition of Pall Mall is a further transformational step for the company.

“It will greatly enhance our capabilities as an outsourcing partner, enabling us to take advantage of the rapidly-growing market for support services.”

Resource was formed following a management buy-in of Northern Ireland support services company, Maybin.

“This latest acquisition creates the largest support services company in Ireland with a blue chip client list that includes RBS Group, ABN Amro, Imperial College, Boots, Dell and Michelin,” added Mr Brannigan.

Following the acquisition, Resource will have a workforce of more than 15,000 in Britain and Ireland.
