An estimated £100m (€117m) is to be invested in the redevelopment of a site including a prison which once held IRA hunger strikers.

IRISH services firm Resource has bought British-based Pall Mall for €28.5 million, in a move that will see it increase its annual revenues to €215m.

Resource, the All-Ireland soft services company has acquired Pall Mall, the UK cleaning and security services arm of Carillion plc for £22m (€28.5m), it was announced today.
