DCC gets approval for CPL acquisition

DCC, a Dublin- based distributor of goods ranging from liquefied petroleum gas to computer software, has received formal approval from the Office of Fair Trading in Britain to complete the acquisition of British oil distribution business CPL Petroleum.

DCC said yesterday that it expects to complete the €74.2 million purchase “shortly”. The company announced the acquisition on July 20, saying at the time that it will contribute to profit during the second half of the year.
