Commercial property up 5.6%

THE latest Jones Lang LaSalle commercial property index confirms that the Irish commercial property market grew by 5.6% in the first half of this year.

Clare Eriksson, head of research with Jones Lang LaSalle in Ireland, said the rise was predominantly due to rising interest rates.

The industrial property sector performed best, showing an annual capital value rise of 18.3% in the first six months of 2007.
