Gulf Air to cease Bahrain route

Gulf Air is to cease operating on the Dublin to Bahrainroute from July 1, 2007.

The airline operates direct flights three times a week from Dublin to Bahrain and onwards since December 2005.

A statement from the company said it was with regret the flight will be pulled.

“This announcement comes despite the success of Gulf Air in the Irish market particularly on the outbound route, but forms part of a global strategy by Gulf Air to consolidate the airlines routes to and from destinations where the airline can offer at least two flights per day,” it said.
