African Diamonds reports pre-tax loss

African Diamonds, the Dublin-headquartered mining company which is listed on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and the Botswana Stock Exchange, has reported a pre-tax loss of £176,000 (€259,000), an operating loss of £225,000 and a 24p loss per share for the half year to the end of last December.

The company is undertaking preliminary exploration work at a number of its licences in Botswana, with drilling work on one discovery set to begin in 2009.
