70% ‘do not understand’ stocks

NEARLY 70% of people from Cork do not understand how the stock market works.

This is according to a survey from Worldspreads, the Irish spread trading firm, which shows that Cork figures were much higher than the national average of 52% of people not knowing how the market worked.

It revealed that nearly a third of people from Cork who would not buy shares, cited the Eircom experience for their reason.
