Market pushes on towards 10,000

STRONG performances from the financial and construction sectors drove the Dublin market to a trading high yesterday.

The ISEQ index rocketed ahead 124.29 points to 9,834.89.

AIB and Bank of Ireland led the financial sector, seeing gains of 28c and 35c to finish at €23.40 and €18.20. Anglo-Irish and Irish life and Permanent followed the trend with positive moves of 28c and 32c.
