Mobile spend will account for just less than half of this with the Irish mobile marketplace worth approximately €2bn.

“The entry of MVNO’s (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) into the Irish market will further erode growth in the short term, until the main operators begin to gain traction with mobile data services which will kick start underlying revenue growth” said iReach analyst Sinead Daly.
