Market quiet in slow trading

THE ISEQ Index slipped back slightly yesterday continuing its recent downward trend falling 17.84 to 9,271.32.

Market quiet in slow trading

The financials had a mixed day, with AIB falling 15c to €22.05 and Bank of Ireland dipping 2c to €17.13. Anglo Irish closed on the day in positive territory at €15.98, up 20c, while Irish Life & Permanent shed 19c to €20.81.

Elsewhere, Ryanair shed 22c to close at €10.97 despite oil prices falling back recently to around $51 a barrel while Aer Lingus gained 6c to €2.94. C&C weakened 7c to €12.05. Other movers were DCC up 10c to €23.95 and Blackrock International up 2c to 59c.
