MBT sales hit 100,000 pairs

SALES of MBTs, (Masai Barefoot Technology) the physiological footwear distributed by Cork-based MBT Ireland, have come to than 100,000 pairs in three years, since their introduction to the Irish market by Cork entrepreneur Noel May.

MBTs were developed in Switzerland in the early 1990s by Swiss engineer Karl Müller who was looking for a solution to his own back, knee and Achilles tendon problems and named after the Masai people of Kenya and Tanzania, renowned for their upright posture and among whom back and joint problems are virtually unknown.
