Smurfit Kappa to return to stock market

Paper and packaging maker Smurfit Kappa Group confirmed yesterday that it is to return to the stock market this year.

The company will first seek approval from lenders to amend some banking covenants that would allow an initial public offering to go ahead, it said in a statement.

Smurfit Kappa, is owned by venture capital groups CVC Capital Partners as well as Chicago-based Madison Dearborn Partners and members of the Smurfit family.
