Diamond company discovery improves

IRISH diamond exploration company, African Diamonds, said second phase drilling at its site in Botswana has produced higher grades of diamond discovery compared with the first phase of drilling.

The company said a total of 794 macro-diamonds weighing 40.055 carats were recovered from 169 tonnes from one 23-inch hole.

This gives a preliminary grade of 23.7 carats per hundred tonnes (cpht).
