Intentions of Greencore investor still unclear

UNCERTAINTY surrounds the fate of Greencore as property developer Liam Carroll keeps his cards close to his chest about his future intentions for the group.

It is generally assumed that Mr Carroll, who is a major player in the property scene, wants the key land banks held by Greencore and has little interest in the core group.

That raises questions about the fate of the business which is a key player in the sandwich and chilled foods market in Britain though its subsidiary Hazlewood.
