Germany’s DAX Index slipped for the first session in four as E.ON AG and Bayer AG paced declining shares.

Altana AG rose on reports its drug business may be bought by Denmark’s Nycomed Holding AS.

The benchmark DAX Index lost 23.45 to 5,681.97 as 18 of the measure’s 30 stocks were down.
