Airtricity finance US wind farms

AIRTRICITY, the renewable energy specialist, has appointed two lead arrangers for the debt financing of its US wind farm projects.

The company has appointed the New York branches of Bayerische Landesbank and Norddeutsche Landesbank with respect to up to $175 million in turbine purchase credit loans.

The banks will also arrange up to $500m in construction/equity bridge loans for the construction of wind farm projects to be built in 2007 in the US.
