Funding for wind farm completed

AIRTRICITY, the renewable/wind energy specialist, has completed funding for the development of its 48 megawatt wind farm at Bindoo, Co Cavan. Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB) was the Mandate Lead Arranger (MLA) for the €70 million transaction providing a €60m senior debt facility over 15 years, with €10m equity provided by Airtricity itself.

Construction of the Bindoo wind farm began in December 2005. It will be fully operational in April 2007.
