Airline adds two routes to service
The regional airline will fly to Galway to meet growing demand from the business traveller, and to Leeds Bradford in England from October 2.
The news comes just weeks ahead of the long-awaited opening of the airport’s new passenger terminal, due to open in July.
Aer Arann’s Cork to Galway service will operate five days a week, Tuesday to Friday and on Sunday.
The one-and-a-half-hour flight to Leeds Bradford will operate four days a week departing Cork at 2.20pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and at 11am on Sunday.
The return service will depart Leeds Bradford at 12.20pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 1.00pm on Sunday.
Fares on both routes will start from €39.99 one way including tax and the services will be operated by a 66-seat ATR72 aircraft.
Aer Arann’s head of marketing, Micheal O’Callarain, said: “These routes represent our continued commitment to growth and development from Cork Airport.”
Cork Airport’s marketing manager, Kevin Cullinane, also welcomed the new routes.
