Conference centre mooted for Shannon

SHANNON AIRPORT welcomed the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation (ITIC) proposal for the development of a major regional conference centre in the Shannon/Limerick area, with a minimum capacity of 2,000 people.

Shannon Airport director Martin Moroney said: “This would be a tremendous asset for the airport as it would support the large number of direct year-round air services which have been developed from Shannon.”
