The ISEQ index has rebounded after five negative days and closed in positive territory up 108.37 points to 7790.73.

AIB jumped 60c ahead to €18.60 with nearly 10 million shares changing hands. The company released a trading statement ahead of schedule implying EPS would be higher than expected. Bank of Ireland gained 19c to €14.29. Irish Life and Permanent was 30c stronger finishing at €20.

CRH dropped a further 5c to €26.85. Grafton Group firmed 12c crossing the line at €10.75.

Elan soared €1.53 to €13.83. C&C fell 10c to €6.50. FBD Holdings fell 20c to €37.30 despite the IIF announcing a campaign against fraudulent claims through TV advertisements.
