GULF AIR reported strong improvements in key performance indicators during the first quarter of 2006, as its two-hub strategy took effect.

Gulf Air began operating three flights a week to Bahrain from Dublin in December 2005, and has seen a positive average load factor of 75%.

During the first quarter, the seat factor across all flights increased to 73%, reflecting a 6.3% increase in premium passengers and a strong increase in Haj traffic. Unit revenue rose 6.6%.
