TCH announces Delany appointment

THE board of Thomas Crosbie Holdings Limited yesterday announced the appointment of Dr Ed Delany, BA, MBA (Mod) DBA, to the board of the company as a non-executive director.

Dr Delany, who originally worked with Guinness, has since worked as a management consultant with Stokes Kennedy Crowley (now KPMG) and more recently as a senior strategy specialist with the Irish Management Institute.

Commenting on the announcement, TCH chairman Alan Crosbie said: “We are delighted with the appointment of Ed to the board as he brings a wealth of experience to the group.”

TCH managing director Anthony Dinan added: “Having worked with Ed for nearly 20 years on various projects I am delighted to welcome him to the board.”

Dr Delany said: “I am very privileged to be invited to the board of one of Ireland’s strongest media groups and look forward to contributing to its development.”

TCH Ltd is Ireland’s fastest growing media group and is comprised of 14 newspapers: the Irish Examiner, the Evening Echo, the Waterford News & Star, the Western People, the Sligo Weekender, The Kingdom, the Newry Democrat, the Down Democrat, the Nationalist and Leinster Times, the Kildare Nationalist, the Laois Nationalist, The Sunday Business Post, Roscommon Herald and The Irish Post.

The group also has a thriving new media firm, Thomas Crosbie Media, which owns Motornet.ie and RecruitIreland.com.
