Record student intake for ICAI

THE Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) has reported a record year for student intake in 2005.

Last year almost 1,250 new students were registered in training contracts - beating the previous record of 1,096 set in 2001.

This amounts to an increase of 13% in a year.
