Intel executive paid $6.74m

INTEL chief executive Craig Barrett received $6.74m in pay last year and Paul Otellini, who will replace Mr Barrett in May, was paid $5.44m.

Mr Barrett’s salary was unchanged from a year earlier at $610,000, while his bonus rose 22% to $1.84m, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The 65-year-old chief executive also got options worth $4.1m.

Mr Otellini, the company’s president, was paid $450,000 in salary, according to the filing. His bonus was boosted 57% to $1.4m and he received options worth $3.52m.
