Revenue to allow quarterly filings

THE Revenue Commissioners has announced a new simplified system for PAYE/PRSI filing arrangements for 70,000 employers.

On a phased basis from the start of April, employers whose total PAYE and PRSI payments for the year are €30,000 or less will be able to return their PAYE and PRSI payments on a quarterly, rather than monthly basis, as at present.

Under this new arrangement, which was initially announced in the recent Budget, the first quarterly return will be due on July 14.
