ROCHES Stores have rejected industry speculation they may quit the retail grocery trade.

250 of the company's workforce are preparing to vote on redundancy terms arising from the closure of grocery stores in Limerick, Dublin and Blanchardstown.

Roches Stores has already closed its retail grocery operation in Waterford and when asked to comment on the possibility of more retail grocery shop closures the company spokesperson referred to a section of its statement announcing the store closures, which stated:
