Advertising switch for Tourism Ireland

Ireland will switch its €50 million advertising account from McCann Erickson & Universal to J Walter Thompson and Mindshare.

Tourism Ireland said there was interest from 17 agencies for the account, but it settled on JWT and Mindshare, who will take over the three year account in 2006.

Tourism Ireland said it would be working closely with the agency over the coming months to develop a new advertising campaign, which will kick off in 2006.
