ICAI welcomes draft directive

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) has welcomed the publication of the draft revised EU Money Laundering Directive published by the European Commission.

The ICAI has made a submission as part of CCAB-I to the Department of Finance.

ICAI president Terence O’Rourke, said: “we welcome the publication of the draft directive, primarily because it affords the EU and governments the opportunity to address difficulties that have arisen from the implementation of the second directive.”
