Charter jet starts Morocco service

New charter airline Eirjet kicked off operations yesterday. The firm will operate three aircraft from next summer, servicing Dublin, Cork and Shannon. Its first service links Shannon with the Moroccan resort of Agadir.

Eirjet managing director Paul Schütz said: “Today is the culmination of six months of hard work by our dedicated team. We are delighted to be operating our inaugural flight from Shannon, which is our home base.”

The airline plans to create more than 100 jobs next year.
