Ryanair adds new Poland service
The new route - Ryanair’s third to Lodz - starts on April 4 and will operate twice weekly. Seats on the new route are on offer from €9.99.
Ryanair also announced that many of its Dublin pilots received windfalls of over €60,000 each by selling their share options, which became exercisable from Thursday.
Based on yesterday’s share price of €7.50, the options have a value of €190,000, yielding windfalls of over €60,000 for each participating pilot.
The share options form part of the collective five-year pay, benefit and share option scheme that the Dublin pilots negotiated with the airline in November 2000.
Meanwhile, Ireland’s first scheduled services to the Middle East began yesterday with Gulf Air’s inaugural flight from Dublin to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
All flights are timed to connect with the airline’s other new destination, Johannesburg, which was also launched yesterday.
