AIB Investment Managers has reported a return of nearly 39% from its European Property Stocks Fund, which has been operating for less than one year. The fund invests in a geographically-diversified spread of property companies in the European property market.

Investment fund boasts 39% return

One of the main attractions of the fund to users is that it allows access to European property investments to investors who may lack the resources to invest in a single property or who may be unwilling to take on the risk and costs of such an investment.

Since it began trading, in April of last year, it has returned 38.57% net of all fees and costs. The real significance of this is that it compares very favourably with a return of 25.61% from the FTSE Eurotop 100 Index of European shares over the same period, while the Irish property market returned 24% gross for 2005.
