ICAI welcomes McCreevy view

THE Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) has welcomed remarks made by European Commissioner Charlie McCreevy on the need for greater convergence between the two key sets of accounting standards used globally.

The body also welcomed Mr McCreevy’s call to allow recent regulatory changes time to bed down, as well as his views on auditor liability.
