Cassells steps down as Forfas Chariman

Peter Cassells is stepping down as chairman of Forfás and also as executive chairperson of the National Centre for Partnership and Performance.

Mr Cassells said that in the context of the election campaign to the European Parliament he believed it would not be appropriate for him to continue to chair these government agencies.

Mr Cassells thanked the Tánaiste, Mary Harney, for appointing him as chair of Forfás and for her support during his term in office.
